WEATHER SUMMARY
Temperatures are going to take a nose dive as we head towards the end of the workweek! We'll start out this morning in the 50s but by the time you make your drive home the mercury will have dropped into the 40s. We still have that stubborn front parked across the region, Mobile on the northern side with cooler temps hovering around 50, and the Florida Panhandle still on the south side, with readings holding in the 70s until it shifts east of there which should happen early this afternoon. The periodic showers will continue across the area with a steady cold rain overnight. Extreme inland edges could have rain mixing with snow or sleet.
Tomorrow morning we wake up in the mid 30s, inland zones should drop to freezing. The wet weather finally winds down early tomorrow, and we'll feel a reinforcing shot of frigid air Friday morning as the Port City falls to freezing. Wall to wall sunshine will rule overhead, as we wrap up what's been a really dreary and rainy week. Afternoon readings will average in the upper 50s.
This weekend, we'll start out in the mid 30s each day with 60s during the peak heating of the day thanks to bright skies both days! The Island Mystics will roll this Saturday on Dauphin Island, and the parade weather looks perfect with full sun.
