WEATHER SUMMARY

It's going to remain overcast and dreary today with just a few pesky showers around.  Daytime highs will top in the mid 70s during the peak heating of the day around 3pm.  Then, it gets even warmer this weekend as highs skyrocket into the upper 70s with some spots reaching 80.  Sky conditions will be a mix of sun and clouds but we're not anticipating any wet weather for Saturday.  In fact, tomorrow, the first parade of the Mardi Gras season, the Krewe de la Dauphine will roll at 1pm on Dauphin Island.  At parade time, it will be warm so wear the short sleeves, and get ready to catch some beads.  By Sunday, a few showers are possible by late day as a cold front approaches from the west.  Best rain coverage occurs Sunday night into Monday.

As we start the workweek, that front slowly slides through beginning Monday and stalling through Wednesday, keeping 50/50 shot of showers around. Temps will be slightly cooler behind the system with highs in the 60s on Monday.
