The front & upper disturbance that helped trigger a few showers in our area is no longer an issue. So, High pressure to our NE is ridging into the South...leading to a more sun-filled start to the day for most of the Gulf Coast. Eventually, the skies will turn partly cloudy later today...but, rain doesn't look to be a concern.
It's going to remain unseasonably warm. Highs will reach the mid 70s this afternoon, and upper 70s will reign supreme by the weekend. So, plan to do something outdoors & soak up the heat. If you don't, then you'll miss out because colder weather returns to the Gulf Coast by early next week courtesy of a cold front. Highs by Tuesday will barely reach 60 degrees...and 30s will return for morning temps. The cold front will also bring an increased chance for rain...primarily on Monday.
Until then, enjoy the warmth!
