WEATHER SUMMARY
*A TORNADO WATCH is in effect for Mobile, Washington, and Clarke counties thru 3pm. Stay weather aware today as we've had several tornado warnings thru the morning.*
A cold front will plow through the region today bringing storms along with it, in it's wake cold air is set to blast in tomorrow. There is a slight risk for severe weather across the inland zones of our viewing area today so, keep the channel on Local 15, the Weather Authority will be watching your neighborhood. Daytime highs will top in the low 70s around lunchtime with falling temps as the system exits the region. Tomorrow morning we'll wake up with readings in the 30s inland with 40s in town.
Wednesday and Thursday morning lows will be near freezing with sub-freezing conditions north of town. This cold Canadian air will seem extra chilly because our temps have been above average for quite a while. A light freeze is possible across our inland zones Wednesday and Thursday nights. It's a good idea to cover up any sensitive plants. Also, make sure you're stocked up on firewood, and have the heavy coat right by your back door. Afternoon highs will be in the mid to upper 50s tomorrow and Wednesday, with 60s for Thursday and Friday before climbing back into the 70s over the weekend.
Once we get past the showers today, dry weather is in the forecast until the upcoming weekend and at that point only a 20% chance for both Saturday and Sunday.
