Significantly colder weather is on the way. A strong cold front will push through the area early Saturday morning. After days with temps in the 80s, we will barely reach 70 the rest of the weekend. Upper 60s are expected Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon will be even cooler in the low to mid 60s. In fact, we will see highs in the 60s from Saturday through Tuesday. Lows will be even chillier. Expect 50s Saturday morning, then low to mid 40s Sunday morning and 30s and 40s Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning. The coldest morning will be Tuesday morning, when inland areas near Hwy 84 could see some frost and temperatures in the low to mid 30s. Winds will be brisk Saturday, Sunday and Monday, but lighter Tuesday and Wednesday as the strong low pressure over the Middle Atlantic and Northeast states begins weakening. Plenty of sunshine is expected through the period with no chance for rain between now and next Thursday.
Temperatures by next Wednesday and Thursday will slowly moderate into the 70s for highs and lows in the 40s and 50s by Thursday.
