If you enjoyed Tuesday's weather, then you'll enjoy Wednesday also...though, it will be a bit warmer. Highs Wednesday will reach the mid 70s as warm/moist air moves in on a southerly wind from the Gulf. Sunshine will be abundant to start the day, but clouds increase in coverage by Wednesday night ahead of a cold front that will bring rain to our area by Thursday morning.
For now, it looks like there is a chance that some of the storms along that front could be strong or even severe...so, our area is under a Slight Risk of severe weather according to the Storm Prediction Center. The severe risk threats include: damaging wind and isolated tornadoes. So, be prepared to stay weather aware from midnight Thursday morning thru early afternoon.
In the wake of of the front, a strong northwest wind will usher very cold air to the Gulf Coast. Highs will barely reach the upper 50s by Friday afternoon...after starting the day with low 30s. So, Winter's Chill is coming...
It won't last long, though, because we warm up by Christmas Day.
Take Care,
