A fast moving storm system will bring a chance of showers/storms to the region overnight. The best chances will shift east of I-65 after midnight and likely be out of the area entirely by mid-morning Tuesday. Your Election Day will start off in the 50s as you head to the polls, with improving conditions as the afternoon progresses. Sunshine should build in later in the day with high temperatures eventually topping out in the 60s.
The rest of the week looks sunny with a gradual warm-up. A few clouds are expected Wednesday, with temperatures similar to Tuesday. Thursday will be slightly warmer, with 70s returning for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Some areas by later in the weekend could approach 80 again. The next storm system promises to be a stout one, and is poised to arrive early next week. This is when we'll see our next chance of rain, in the Monday/Tuesday timeframe, but if the storm speeds up, we could even see its effects as early as late Sunday. At this time, the former scenario is more likely, keeping the weekend warm and dry...just a little more humid. Stay tuned!
