Cooler than normal weather continues to dominate the Gulf Coast as Canadian air filters into the Region on a north wind.   Monday morning, upper 30s are possible north of 1-10...with mid 30s expected in those same areas by Tuesday morning.  So, make sure the kids are bundled up before they head off to the bus stop.   Monday afternoon...highs will remain in the lower 60s under great sunshine.  Tuesday will be a little warmer with mid-upper 60s.  Yet, both afternoons...the temps will be unseasonably cool (as the average high for this time of year is around the mid 70s).

The temps will begin to bounce back by mid week as temps jump into the 70s.  Upper 70s near 80 degrees is expected by next weekend.

Tropics:

Sandy is expected to loose its tropical characteristics by Monday evening...just before landfall.  Regardless, it's going to bring major impacts to the Mid-Atlantic and Southern New England due to high storm surge, strong winds, flooding, and the potential for widespread power outages.
