A MAJOR cool down is on the way. One more day of highs in the 80s then the bottom will drop as temperatures fall behind the front on Saturday. Friday will be partly cloudy with low to mid 80s expected. The cold front arrives early Saturday morning, bringing breezy and cooler weather to the region. No rain is expected with the front. Temperatures will remain around 70 during the afternoon Saturday, with 60s further inland. Lows in the 40s are expected Saturday night. Sunday will be breezy with highs in the low to mid 60s. 30s and 40s are expected Sunday night. Monday will again be sunny with lighter winds and highs in the 60s. The coldest night will be Monday night, as winds relax temperatures will fall into the mid 30s well inland to around 40 to the lower 40s I-10. Coastal sections will be in the mid 40s.
Warmer weather returns Tuesday afternoon through Thursday. Temperatures will slowly creep back to the 70s for highs by the middle of next week with lows in the 40s. No rain is expected through next Thursday.
