A stalled front created rounds of rain for the Gulf Coast on Saturday. However, the front will eventually move out of our area as a cold front...and then stall south of the coastline for most of Sunday. Because of this, drier weather can be expected for the last day of the weekend. Sunday starts with partly sunny skies...and highs will reach up to around 70 degrees.
Cloud cover will increase during the day on Sunday...leading to a mainly cloudy Sunday afternoon. Then, by Sunday night...showers will start to move back into the area as the previously mentioned stalled front (south of the coastline) will move back inland as a warm front. By Monday, our area will be in the warm sector (an area where the air is warm, moist, and unstable)...and an upper level disturbance will be moving into our region. These elements will enhance severe weather atmospheric conditions for the Gulf Caost. So, Monday is the day to be weather aware...as our area has a risk of experiencing severe weather (including tornadoes). Highs Monday will reach the lower 70s.
The system moves out of our area by Tuesday...leading to drier weather for the rest of the week. Yet, reinforcing shots of colder air will move across our area by midweek. Therefore, expect unseasonably cold weather by the end of the week....Winter's Chill will return.
