WEATHER SUMMARY

It's going to be an overcast Tuesday with isolated showers coming in late this afternoon.  Maximum readings are set to reach the mid 60s.  Overnight, we'll have a 30% chance of showers due to a very unstable air mass.  We keep the status quo tomorrow although highs will get bumped a little higher into the low 70s.  By Thursday a cold front approaches from the west bringing very active storms along with it.  Damaging wind gusts and heavy downpours will be the major threats from this system. The bulk of the wet weather winds down Friday and we expect dry conditions on Saturday.  Temperatures soar into the mid 70s by the end of the week, with some spots flirting with 80 this weekend.

In fact, this weekend our first Mardi Gras parade of the season, the Krewe de la Dauphine, will roll on Dauphin Island at 1pm on Saturday.  At this point, the weather looks dry for the revelers but keep checking in with the forecast, we'll keep you informed of any changes.  By Sunday, another cold front slides through here, bringing another round of showers and storms that will last through early Monday. In the wake of this system, a blast of cold air is set to spill into the region.
